Beautiful Balloons

On Saturday, I got my family up at the crack of dawn and we went to the Colorado Balloon Classic.  It was so awesome, and we loved every bit of it, from the fair food, to watching the balloons get rolled out, get filled up, and finally fly away.  I was lucky to get some pretty beautiful pictures of the process.

 

This is one of my favorites - the sun was directly behind the balloon and lit it up so nicely.

And of course I had to get the Energizer Bunny . . .

. . . and the flying pig.

Here is one up close and personal while they were filling one up.

The whole ground was covered with balloons in various states of filling up/taking off.

And I love this one and how it has Pike's Peak in it.
