Tall and Handsome Derek

My older son, Derek, just turned fifteen.  It is crazy to think of how much he has grown up just in this past year, but when I think back to the adorable baby he was, it is even crazier how quickly the time has passed. We had the best time going out and taking his portraits, taking advantage of some fifty degree weather in December, and I love how they capture my boy.

Sweet Six Year Old

My baby boy turned six years old, and I was so excited to capture his sparkling eyes and handsome smile.  He has the most amazing twinkle in his eyes, and we had the best time getting his portraits done.  Plus, the weather decided to cooperate, and it was in the mid-forties, which was a bonus for a January photo shoot.  And isn't he just the most handsome little guy?  And I don't just say that because I am his mom ;).

A Beautiful Autumn Afternoon with the Gould's

On Friday, the weather was perfect for taking portraits, and I was blessed to take family portraits of the Gould family.  They are such a sweet family, and we had a wonderful time taking their portraits.  Here are some of my favorites from their session.

Those Sparkling Eyes

My baby boy, Arthur, turned four, and it is so exciting and so sad, all at the same time.  He is the sweetest and silliest little person, and the older he gets, the more we get to know this amazing little guy.  I love his humor and his happiness, and I loved capturing the sparkle in his eyes, but especially, I loved capturing this moment in time.

Derek at 11

My son, Derek, just turned eleven, which meant that I had the privilege of taking his portraits.  I love taking portraits, but taking portraits of my own children is especially fun.  I love documenting how they have changed and grown.  And taking pictures of my Derek this year, it blew me away how grown up he is getting.  I sure do love this boy!

Beautiful Pennsylvania

If I didn't already mention here before, but I have moved to Pennsylvania.  And Pennsylvania is absolutely beautiful - rolling hills, forests, farmers fields, and beauty everywhere you look.  I feel like it is a constant feast for the eyes.  I love it so much, but because we were busy moving into our new home and overwhelmed with that, I found our gorgeous autumn slipping away before I could get it on camera.  And so, I snuck out with my three year old, and we went on a hunt to get pictures of the beauty that is my new home.

And here is one of me with my little guy - so you know that I am not always behind the camera ;).
