I love taking newborn portraits - there is something magical about capturing the first few weeks of a baby's life. And even though newborn shoots can be a little tricky, I always love the results. Holland Grace was the sweetest. We did end up doing her shoot in two parts, since the first time, she decided to be wide awake the whole time, but it meant that we got a wonderful combination of sleeping and bright eyed portraits of her. I love how they turned out!

Baby Marinda
I took newborn portraits of Marinda a few days ago, and she was such a cute little baby. She was not at all happy about having her pictures taken, and was especially unhappy any time we changed her clothes. Luckily, we were able to calm her down and get some pretty pictures :).

Baby Emmett
I had the chance to fit in a newborn session before I left on vacation, and it was so fun. It was a mini-session, but we still ended up with some beautiful portraits of little Emmett.

Little Baby Tessa
I was able to take newborn portraits of the sweetest little girl recently. baby Tessa was so pretty, and was so well behaved. We were able to get sleeping portraits, as well as some that showed off her beautiful eyes. We even got some with her sisters, her grandma, and of course, her mom. I love how they turned out :).

Sweet Baby Emily
Yesterday, I got the opportunity to take portraits of the sweetest baby girl, Emily. She looked beautiful in her blessing dress, and we were able to get the portraits done just in time, before she outgrew it. (Her family had just moved here with the Air Force, and it had been in storage.) They turned out great :).

My Baby Boy

Being a photographer, I was so excited to take newborn portraits of my baby boy. I didn't take into account how tired and brain dead I was going to feel. Luckily, my little Arthur was photogenic enough to make up for my complete lack of creativity. Isn't he gorgeous?
