Playing in the Leaves with the Meiler Family

Last week, I had the lovely opportunity to take family portraits for the Meiler family.  With my business shifted so much more toward Real Estate photography lately, I don't get the chance to do family portraits very often, and taking pictures of this family reminded me why I love taking family portraits.  There is something magical about capturing the fun, personality and love in each family.  I had such a wonderful time, especially with their adorable and spunky kids.  And I am so glad we snuck it in before the leaves were gone and the weather turned cold.

Dave . . . and Becky

The other day I snuck out to do some headshots for Dave.  It was a beautiful autumn day, and so I snuck in  a couple pictures of him with his wife, Becky, as well :).

Oliver is One!

Last year, I took infant portraits of Oliver, and so it was so much to get to take one year old portraits of his this summer.  He is such an adorable little guy, and wow, he has gorgeous eyes.  We had a great time, and I loved how the pictures turned out.

Sixteen and Spunky

My daughter had her sixteenth birthday, and as part of the celebration, she decided to cut and donate her hair.  What resulted were the most fun natural curls and a spunky new haircut that fits her personality perfectly.  It made taking her portraits even more fun than usual, and I love how they turned out.

Derek, the Teenager!

I can't believe my Derek turned thirteen.  Time goes by way to quickly.  With his birthday in December, and my need to take his portraits close to his birthday, we always have to fight the weather.  Last week, we found a break in the rain and it was in the 40's, and so we went out and took Derek's portraits.  We decided to try a new location and discovered that a park near our house, and it was perfect.  And wow, this boy is getting so grown up and handsome.
