Eight is Great!

Last week, my youngest turned eight, and for his portraits I wanted to do something special, since this is the year he is getting baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We went to the Susquehanna River, which is a special place in the history of our church, and it made the most gorgeous backdrop for his portraits.  We had such a great time taking his pictures, and I loved capturing his gap toothed grin.

And of course, with a silly boy, you get some great silly pictures as well - ha ha!

Tall and Handsome Derek

My older son, Derek, just turned fifteen.  It is crazy to think of how much he has grown up just in this past year, but when I think back to the adorable baby he was, it is even crazier how quickly the time has passed. We had the best time going out and taking his portraits, taking advantage of some fifty degree weather in December, and I love how they capture my boy.

Beautiful Pennsylvania in the Spring

It had been way too long since I had the time to go out and take some nature pictures.  While I was out taking my daughter's portraits, it was the perfect chance for me to get some shots.  I love taking pictures of wildflowers, and even old bridges and buildings, but I was especially excited to get some pictures of a Baltimore Oriole.  They are so beautiful, and I caught it holding still and on the wing.  It made my week :).

A Lovely Summer Morning for Family Portraits

I had the most wonderful morning the other day, when I got to take portraits of the Loar family.  Not only are their children adorable, but they were so much fun.  And we couldn't have asked for more perfect skies and lighting.  I just love how the pictures turned out!

Oliver is One!

Last year, I took infant portraits of Oliver, and so it was so much to get to take one year old portraits of his this summer.  He is such an adorable little guy, and wow, he has gorgeous eyes.  We had a great time, and I loved how the pictures turned out.
