Melting and Prom Portraits

I really think that Prom pictures, other than Senior portraits, are probably my favorite to take.  There is something just special about making teenagers smile and break through their shell. So when my oldest son was going to prom, I may have volunteered to take the portraits ;). It was especially hot that evening - like almost 100 degrees, and those poor boys were all melting in their tuxes, but they all still looked handsome. And the girls looked beautiful! Here are a few of my favorite shots.

Ariel's Prom

I was so excited on Friday night when I got to do another prom photo shoot! This time it was for the sweetest and coolest girl ever. (She even designed and made her own dress - so fun!) The only downside was that it was raining the whole time we were taking the pictures, but hey, they still turned out very nice. Here are a few of my favorites . . .

Prom Season

Word got out, and before I knew what had happened, it was another prom, and there I was doing the portraits again. There were one or two of the kids from the last group I did, but otherwise it was a totally new group.

As always, there were a few guys that were tough to crack, but I caught each one of them smiling at some point. Definitely a victory :). They were a great bunch of kids - very fun - and somehow it didn't really start raining until they got int the limo.

Here are a few of my favorite shots . . .

Prom Night!

Last year I had the time of my life taking Prom pictures in downtown Savannah, and so I was so excited to take some again this year, this time at a beach house in Tybee Island.I have found that teenagers have got to be my favorite subjects to photograph, because not only are they up for anything, but they hold still (unlike my 2 year old).

Once again, I had a wonderful time - and I got some great shots. I am still a little sad we didn't get to take any pictures actually out on the beach, but it's all good. Here are a few of them - I hope you like them as much as I do :).
