The Newlyweds - Adam and Cindy

There is something magical about capturing the connection and love of a newly married couple, and it was especially so as I took pictures of my nephew, Adam, and his wife, Cindy.  He looked handsome, and she looked truly beautiful, and I felt privileged to get to take their portraits.

The Ferguson Wedding Reception

Last week, I drove down to Maryland to take portraits at a wedding reception.  Event like this are always a little different than normal shoots, because I am usually just wandering around and taking candids, instead of posing people.  (The lighting is always a little tricky in these places as well, but luckily I have equipment that really helps with that.)  Here are a few of my favorites from the Ferguson reception.

A Beautiful Wintery Wedding Day

I just got home from my niece, Sierra's wedding, and it was a wonderful whirlwind weekend.  I loved taking the wedding portraits for her and her husband Garret.  I was able to get some portraits during the ceremony, and the afterwards, we went out into the cold, Idaho winter, and took some more portraits.  We didn't have much time, and it was pretty cold, but we were so lucky to not have any wind or rain/snow.  We were able to get some beautiful shots before we headed back to the reception. I feel so blessed to be part of their special day.
