A Storm on the Prairie

The other night I took some portraits for a very fun family.  I am so glad they were so easy going, because at the very last minute, we had to switch locations because of a huge storm cloud that was parked right over the place we had planned to go. 

We went out on the prairie instead, and although the light was pretty dim because of the storm, we also had the most amazing sky for the background of the portraits.  The sky was purplish blue, and it was gorgeous.
