Fields of Cotton

When we moved to North Carolina, one of the things that blew me away was the type of things they grow here.  I now live in a place where, instead of potatoes and sugar beets, they grow tobacco and cotton.  I found the cotton fileds particularly intriguing.  I am only kicking myself that I didn't get pictures of them in Septemeber when the cotton blossoms where still out - it looked like a field of white roses - so pretty.  I am just happy I managed to get some pictures before these final fileds were harvested.  I hope you enjoy them :).

I couldn't decide which version of the next picture I liked more - the black and white  or the sepia.

And here is a blossom up close - they really are as soft as they look.  Makes you think about that t-shirt you are wearing an entirely different way, doesn't it?

And here is a glimpse of the field as a whole . . .

If the first photo is B&W, I love that one, but the one of the field with the red contrast is beautiful, too! Not much help am I? Either way they are wonderful.
